Meet Alan Reeves – Procurement and Quality Assurance Manager

I joined Fixmart when I left school and have lived and grown with the company. There have been many changes within the company and in the marketplace over the years, but what I still enjoy most is finding new products and processes that will add value to Fixmart and to every company and individual that we work with.

Current Roles

Procurement Manager – I started my career in Purchasing in 2003 and still enjoy the challenges that it brings on a daily basis like meeting suppliers and sourcing new and innovative products to enhance our range. I included Quality Assurance in my remit in 2006, as this became an integral part of the Purchasing Process and Fixmart were ISO 9001 accredited in 2007. We included ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (now ISO 45001) two years later and since then I have managed Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety under the role of IMS Representative. This gives me a busy schedule to provide Quality products and a Safe and Healthy environment for all Fixmart colleagues and their Trading Partners.

Fixmart Culture

There are probably just two words that describe the culture here at Fixmart, fast and happy. These two features are ones that mark the whole team that I enjoy working with.

Favourite Building

When asked a while ago what my favourite building was in London and why, my immediate response was The Evelina Children’s Hospital next to Westminster Bridge. Why? Because it provides for another team of dedicated staff who always put others, especially the children, ahead of themselves
